A Day Off PDF Print E-mail

On Monday, October 15th, was my day off. Apparently my website decided to take a day off also. Throughout the morning I was chasing around the internet looking for my domain name that seemed to be missing in action. Finally after posting several different 'so called' support tickets and receiving no response, I resorted to the old fashion way of doing business...the telephone. After making three calls to three different internet service providers I found my domain name parked under an advertisement for Viagra. Apparently my domain name had expired and the company that I purchased it from failed to inform me that one, it was going to expire and two, it had expired...OUCH!

On any given day when I'm in the market to purchase a domain name I generally buy it from an outstanding hosting company out of Canada called Netfirms. They are (in my estimation) the best company to buy domain names from as well as offering a very nice internet hosting service. However, in this case my domain name was actually purchased from a company I did very little business with and quite frankly forgot all about them. That is until yesterday! After several more phone calls, a few more support tickets and a live chat room conversation with this companies customer service I was able to renew my domain name and escort it back to it's rightful place on the internet.

Now due to the time it spent parked under a Viagra advertisement I anticipate that it will experience a few lingering side-effects. So if for no apparent reason my website experiences an erection lasting longer then four hours, you'll know why. Please don't call the doctor and by all means do not, I repeat, do not play with this one-eye monster. It is not a play toy nor should it be taken in and given a 'special place' to keep it warm. It's undergoing rehab and withdrawal...let nature heel all wounds...Thank You!
