Our Dearest Friends,
It is with great sadness that we send you this message to inform you that this morning we had to put our beloved Sadie the Dog to sleep. This past Saturday evening she apparently suffered a stroke that all but paralyzed her from the neck to her tail. On Sunday she did not eat, drink or do her business outside after repeated attempt to assist her. We discussed with the Vet every possible way to comfort her but alas our only real decision was to end whatever pain and suffering she was experiencing internally. I know this letter is reaching many who had been attacked by the ‘tongue’ and ‘tail’ of Sadie daDog and just wanted to let you know that in the end she is suffering no longer. We stayed with her throughout this ordeal, right to her very last breath on this earth. For that and for the love and joy she brought to this family she will be forever in our heart.
Your loving friends, p.s. Because this was Thanksgiving break, Scott was home and as such he too had the knowledge that Sadie’s end was near. On Sunday just before he left to return to school, he and his belly rubbing, roll around the floor buddy spent their final time together. Peace to all…
