On Monday, October 15th, was my day off. Apparently my website decided to take a day off also. Throughout the morning I was chasing around the internet looking for my domain name that seemed to be missing in action. Finally after posting several different 'so called' support tickets and receiving no response, I resorted to the old fashion way of doing business...the telephone. After making three calls to three different internet service providers I found my domain name parked under an advertisement for Viagra. Apparently my domain name had expired and the company that I purchased it from failed to inform me that one, it was going to expire and two, it had expired...OUCH!
On any given day when I'm in the market to purchase a domain name I generally buy it from an outstanding hosting company out of Canada called Netfirms. They are (in my estimation) the best company to buy domain names from as well as offering a very nice internet hosting service. However, in this case my domain name was actually purchased from a company I did very little business with and quite frankly forgot all about them. That is until yesterday! After several more phone calls, a few more support tickets and a live chat room conversation with this companies customer service I was able to renew my domain name and escort it back to it's rightful place on the internet.
Now due to the time it spent parked under a Viagra advertisement I anticipate that it will experience a few lingering side-effects. So if for no apparent reason my website experiences an erection lasting longer then four hours, you'll know why. Please don't call the doctor and by all means do not, I repeat, do not play with this one-eye monster. It is not a play toy nor should it be taken in and given a 'special place' to keep it warm. It's undergoing rehab and withdrawal...let nature heel all wounds...Thank You!

Please allow us to introduce to you our newest family member, Chloe the pound puppy. Over the past few weeks we have been talking about getting a dog and discussing all of the pros and cons between getting a puppy or a slightly older dog knowing that whatever we settled upon, it was going to come from the County’s Animal Shelter. So the other day Ruthie called me on my cell to let me know that she was at the shelter just ‘window shopping’. Now, to our entire dog loving friends…”you just can not window shop when you’re in the market for a new dog and surrounded by a sea of toungs and tails”. That is like putting a kid inside a candy shop with the instructions not to touch or eat anything. It just can not be done!
Shortly after the third or forth call, my phone rang with a detailed description of our newest family member from a voice filled with happiness and reservation from the selection made. Chloe (originally named Tandy) is your typical ‘Heinz 57’ type pound puppy, a little bit of this and a little bit of that all mixed together. She is between 2 to 3 years old and has had at least one litter based on her belly and nipples. And as of this post everything seems to be going well as we all get to know each others lifestyle and habits. Chloe is very much a ‘ladies dog’ but seems to enjoy the romp of a man’s touch. She has already been accepted by the other neighborhood dogs and was quickly welcomed into their pack. The trip to Pets Mart yesterday was a big success and our local rabbit and squirrel population quickly found out that there was a new sheriff in town.
As our new adventure unfolds I’ll keep you all up-to-speed and in the loop. But for now, every day is a new experience and a new mystery of the great unknown.

| Our Dearest Friends,
It is with great sadness that we send you this message to inform you that this morning we had to put our beloved Sadie the Dog to sleep. This past Saturday evening she apparently suffered a stroke that all but paralyzed her from the neck to her tail. On Sunday she did not eat, drink or do her business outside after repeated attempt to assist her. We discussed with the Vet every possible way to comfort her but alas our only real decision was to end whatever pain and suffering she was experiencing internally.
I know this letter is reaching many who had been attacked by the ‘tongue’ and ‘tail’ of Sadie daDog and just wanted to let you know that in the end she is suffering no longer. We stayed with her throughout this ordeal, right to her very last breath on this earth. For that and for the love and joy she brought to this family she will be forever in our heart.
Your loving friends,
Ed & Ruth
p.s. Because this was Thanksgiving break, Scott was home and as such he too had the knowledge that Sadie’s end was near. On Sunday just before he left to return to school, he and his belly rubbing, roll around the floor buddy spent their final time together.
Peace to all…
